Your Personal Address Number

This month we will be looking at the Numerology of your home/work address.  Have you ever noticed how some numbers seem to follow you through life? You may have lived in a house numbered 135 for several years, but when you moved you moved into another 135. In my present city, I have lived at 3 different apartments numbered 6.

We've all heard about Numerology, but have you ever actually tried it? Numerology uses numbers, any numbers that are significant in your life, to indicate possibilities for you in your life. The concepts in Numerology are generally based on the teachings of Pythagoras.

The "energy" represented by these numbers can have a profound influence on your personality, health, and well being. Numerology is one way of tapping into their power. Feng Shui, used by the Chinese, is another way of tapping into the energies hidden in our lives. They use it to help design their homes and businesses to be as harmonious and healthful as possible. It is my wish that with some simple Numerology you can begin to tap into your hidden potentials and perhaps use it as a bridge to the more complex systems of personal insight.

It is important to know that no form of divination should be used as a substitute for your own free will. Over reliance on someone or something outside of yourself takes away your own power and responsibilities. The best use of Numerology, and any divination tool, is one in which you use it as a life enhancing tool that can help you to unlock your potential.

The number in your home address, which we will call your Personal Address Number, can be used to indicate your hopes, dreams, desires, and types of energies/qualities available to you, and of course the other people living there as well. These qualities resonate within you, which is one reason why you live where you do. How you use the power indicated by the numbers in your name, street address, or other numbers, depends on you. Someone, who lives at an address that indicates creativity, might not be creative if they are addicted to television and spend all of their free time watching, instead of being creative.

Each number will have certain energies attached to them. How you act on those energies depends on you. If you are generally conscious of your activities, and think before you act then you may be tapping into the "Positive/Mature" side of the energy. If you generally act in a rash manner then you may be tapping into the "negative" side of the energies. It is important to know that neither side is better than the other, and at times we may need to remain "aloof" to protect ourselves from getting seriously hurt. It is also important to note that you have a free will to act as you please.

In Numerology, most numbers that we will work with are reduced to a single digit. The method to do this is demonstrated below:

  • Joan lives at 94 main street.

  • Simply add (9 + 4) = 13

  • Continue adding the result, until you have a single digit.

  • Then add (1+3=4). We are done.

  • Four is the number for Joan.

Follow the method above to find your Personal Address Number, then click on the corresponding house located at the top of this page.

Joan lives in a house with a Personal Address Number of 4. Living at this address gives Joan the "energy" to be a good leader, but she may tend to need a good support system to help back her up. Also, she would fare better is she had a "task priority" system in place to help give her the patience to juggle multiple tasks.

If we take a quick look at 1600 Pennsylvania avenue, we can see that it has a number of 7. We can see that the energy surrounding the Whitehouse is about control and leadership. The President can best put his energies into allowing others to do the day to day tasks, while he plans for the future. Hopefully, he will do this with the aid of others.

These are very limited examples, but hopefully they spark some of your creative interest so that you can continue to learn more. It is also important to note that there are plenty of other numbers that will have an influence on your personality, including the street name. The letters can be broken down and analyzed in for their meaning in the same manner as the street number.

Good luck on your journey into Numerology.
