MESHE, HESHE, MISON & ORBIT by Karen Deborah Farris
MESHE, HESHE,
MISON & ORBIT

With each new issue of SoulfulLiving.com
, Karen offers her spiritual insights for "being present" in all aspects of life, by calling upon the techniques of her four guiding principles, MESHE, HESHE, MISON & ORBIT.

Personal Power, Strength and Empowerment

An Overview of MESHE, HESHE, MISON & ORBIT

MESHE (mee-shee) is your relationship with yourself.

Being in MESHE is being responsible to The Five Main Petals of MESHE:
What You Like & Love, Your Physical Body & Environment,
Your Creativity & Expression, Your Inner Landscape & Resources,
Your Authority & Personal Truthz.

The symbol for MESHE is a circle surrounded by five petals. This symbol becomes the pneumonic device for remembering these five main areas through which we all relate to ourselves. There is no order of importance, they function like a wheel with no start or finish, and the more time we put into our MESHE the more these areas expand and interrelate. These five areas are a way of approaching with structure the jumbled up mess that can sometimes feels like our lives. The ways in which these areas are both over and under emphasized help us to locate our strengths and weaknesses at any given time.

HESHE (hee-shee) is your relationship with other. It takes place in the Space between yourself and another person, place, thing or experience.  The symbol for HESHE is an encircled bird in flight. The space through which the bird flies represents the clean, clear Space where relationship take place.

To Seek the Space in relationship is to invite into our lives the responsibility that life has to us. The Space is the agent we let go into when we are able to release control.

When we are in relationship with other people, we must recognize that we are also in a dance with their MESHE. It is the interplay of each other’s Five Main Petals that is the fodder for the compatibility between us all. In Seeking the Space between ourselves and other we will learn to ask the question, “How does what they are doing make me feel about myself?” This question replaces the old mantra of, “Why are they doing this to me?”

MISON is your relationship with life.

MISON is the source of the clean, clear Space

that you seek when in HESHE.

The symbol for MISON is a circle with eight outward radiating lines.  The circle represents the central role MISON has in our world, while the lines represents its all-encompassing affect.

As we learn to recognize what our relationship to life is, we gain deeper understanding and insight into the details of how all of our relationships function and how we move in the world on a day-to-day basis.  To understand our relationship to life itself is to understand the foundation of our relationship to self (MESHE) and other (HESHE).

MESHE, HESHE, MISON & ORBIT by Karen Deborah Farris

Being in MISON cultivates the being aspect of living. It is in MISON where the aspects of living that necessitate our ability to receive are most pronounced.

ORBIT is out of relationship with self (MESHE), other (HESHE) and life (MISON). It is a place of “repeat” and an indication that the integrity of an initial discovery, experience, or movement in life has become an idea based on its original form. It is the signal that this caricature needs to be renewed/rediscovered in order to return to its authentic and unfixed nature.

ORBIT is a natural process that illuminates the myriad of ways in which we disconnect from what is true and real in our lives.

The challenge of ORBIT is to recognize when we have left the truth of our journey and need to return to MESHE, HESHE, and MISON. Its symbol is three concentric circles, representing patterns that only return to themselves and do not relate to or connect with anything real.

When you are in MESHE, HESHE, and MISON you are relating to life from an empowered place:

You are not in a “perfect place” so much as you are “perfectly in place.”

When you are in MESHE with ORBIT, that is to say, when you are working the principles of ORBIT with presence and awareness—

You are living in your strength.

When we are in MESHE we are present with and in acceptance of our feelings, thoughts and actions. If our mind is in conflict we have acknowledged the internal split and accepted the discomfort found in the tension. We are not fighting for resolution but rather are resisting the impulse to “resolve” things back into the direction of the familiar.

Most of empowerment involves acclimating to the unknown and befriending the unfamiliar. It is in the unfamiliar that we find aspects of ourselves that are as yet unmet, which is why we must remind ourselves that:

Empowerment may sometimes scare us, so we must be ready with processes in place to calm the fear and support our stamina.

Being in MESHE is being responsible to ourselves in any given moment, and it is from this place that empowerment seeds.

Fundamental lessons for personal power are found in the difference between being responsible to what occurs in our lives and being responsible for it. Being responsible for what happens demands a lot of understanding before acting toward change. This understanding unwittingly most always first seeks to create blame and judgment, while being responsible to the experiences in our lives is a move toward personal power. Judgment and blame weaken the trust we have in ourselves. Being responsible to strengthens it.

A good check in for moving in the direction of empowerment is to curtail the instinct to judge and blame ourselves and those around us.

The process for empowerment and the process of MESHE, HESHE, MISON & ORBIT are one in the same:

Practice being present with yourself, other, and this precious gift of life.
Take the symbols to heart. Use them as a reminder of this organic process.

When you have fallen out of relationship, for full empowerment, be responsible to the state of mind into which you have been taken.

Do not judge or blame yourself, others, or life.

Remember that ORBIT is a place of redemption and that to fall into ORBIT is merely the first step in returning to MESHE, HESHE & MISON

Karen Deborah Farris
Karen Deborah Farris is a successful counselor, healer, and bodyworker. For more than fifteen years she has taught extensive workshops based on MESHE, HESHE, MISON & ORBIT as well as many other self-discovery topics.

Farris began developing her integrated bodywork and counseling techniques in 1984 under the tutelage of many prominent doctors and healers throughout the United States.

Her education into the spiritual and physical aspects of the human experience served as the foundation for her own private practice and the development of a new philosophy. She combined her techniques into four guiding principles, which she shares in her book, MESHE, HESHE, MISON & ORBIT: What My Grandmother Taught Me About the Universe. She is currently touring with a companion workshop series, where she creates an interactive environment demonstrating the material from her book with tangible, life altering effects. In these workshops, individuals discover a deepening of their relationship to self, others and the world around them.

Through individual counseling and group workshops, she has taught her results-oriented programs to many different types of people including those confined to mental institutions, substance and food abusers, and generally, people in life transitions, struggling with intimate relationships, or who lack direction in their lives. Karen lives happily with her husband in Southern California. Visit www.MESHE.com.
